Austria is a small mountainous landlocked country in South Central Europe. It is bound by Germany and the Czech Republic to the north, Slovakia to the northeast, Hungary to the east, Slovenia and Italy to the south as well as Switzerland and Liechtenstein to the west.

Germany is located in North Central Europe, on the Great North European Plain. It is bound by Poland and the Czech Republic to the east, the Baltic Sea to the northeast, Denmark to the north, the North Sea to the northwest, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and France to the west, Switzerland to the south and Austria to the south and southeast.

Liechtenstein is a landlocked country in Central Europe. It is bound by the Austria province of Vorarlberg to the east and the Swiss cantons of St. Gallen and Graubunden to the west.

Switzerland is a landlocked country in West Central Europe. It is bound by Liechtenstein and Austria to the east, Italy to the south, France to the west and Germany to the north.
