Paris to Frankfurt am Main by train (TGV or ICE)
It is a very easy journey by train from Paris to Frankfurt-am-Main. This key business route has been greatly improved in recent years, and the journey time will be trimmed again in early July 2016. The route includes the LGV Est line where trains regularly travel at speeds of over 300 kph. A journey which a generation ago took seven hours now takes less than four. It’s no surprise that the train now has the edge over air travel for journeys from Paris to Frankfurt.
If the timings of the direct trains do not suit your schedule, you’ll find additional options via Karlsruhe or Mannheim. The change of train does add about 45 minutes to the overall journey time, but usually makes no difference to the fare.
Bookings for your journey from Paris to Frankfurt normally open four months prior to travel.
